How to create a GST invoice on mobile

  1. 1

    Set your business details once

Add your GSTIN, address and state in Business Settings, and pick an invoice template, prefix and terms. Every bill inherits them, so you never type this again.

  2. 2

Add your products with their tax details

Give each item a sale price, a GST rate and an HSN or SAC code. Import them in bulk from an Excel or CSV template if you already have a list.

  3. 3

    Start a new sale invoice

Open billing and choose the customer, or add a new one with a phone number as you go.

  4. 4

Add items by search or barcode

Search the saved list or scan the barcode with your phone camera. Quantity, rate and tax fill themselves in.

  5. 5

Check the tax split and save

The invoice shows CGST and SGST for a sale inside your state, or IGST for another state. Apply a discount if needed, then save.

  6. 6

    Print or share it

Print to A4 or an 80mm thermal roll, or send the PDF on WhatsApp or email. Stock and the customer ledger update as soon as the bill is saved.

Example

A mobile shop bills two accessories at 500 each. Scanning both barcodes gives a subtotal of 1,000, 18% GST adds 90 CGST and 90 SGST, and the total comes to 1,180. Saving the bill drops the stock by two and shares the PDF to the customer on WhatsApp.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a computer to make a GST invoice?

No. The same billing screen runs on Android, iOS, Web and Windows, and a bill raised on the phone appears everywhere else, because the data is server-hosted.

Can I print from my phone to a thermal printer?

The invoice renders as a thermal-format PDF you print from your phone. There is no direct ESC/POS hardware driver, so printing goes through your device’s normal print dialog.

What if the customer is not GST registered?

You can still raise the tax invoice, or issue a cash memo instead. The buyer’s GSTIN is optional — it matters only when they want to claim input credit.

Can my staff raise invoices without seeing my profit?

Yes. Permissions are set per role and per screen, so a billing user can raise invoices while reports and profit figures stay closed to them.
